About Us
Inception
As our family of companies grew, finding strong, affordable, and robust health benefits was always challenging. Sometimes, a self-funded or level-funded option would work, and as the internal payroll department grew into a PEO, even a master plan from a large national carrier wasn’t the right fit. It took a lot of experienced people throughout the family of companies to utilize a structure through collective bargaining to find a more affordable and robust solution.
The ECH, which stands for Employers for Cheaper Healthcare, was born. Fortunately, we can now offer the unique opportunity that the family of companies has enjoyed to industries throughout the United States to join the Association and take advantage of the benefits of membership. The goal of this not-for-profit program is to allow each member to participate in the law of large numbers philosophy and spread out the risk across the membership pool.
Mission
ECH (Employers for Cheaper Healthcare) is a non-profit organization whose members care deeply about providing cost-effective, quality healthcare to their employees. The organization’s mission is to provide leadership on employer-related healthcare issues through communication, education, and research.
